Crystal Root Horse Tooth Necklace

$160.00

Chain Size 30 Inches Long.

The pendant was made with a horse tooth I found at the ranch. I wanted to recreated the roots spiraling around a quartz crystal. I sculpted 2 part clay epoxy around the existing roots and elongated them, then glued the crystal in between the roots. I then Electro-Formed the horse tooth after painting on a conductive paint and letting it sit in a solution which solidified the organic material by plating copper onto them. It can turn natural and other materials into metal jewelry components. By building up layers of metal around your forms, preserving them forever! It's a fascinating process and it makes it possible to turn just about anything into jewelry!
